The reference is the Cataclysm: the biggest event yet in Atreia’s history. Date makings are: B.C. – Before Cataclysm and A.C. – After Cataclysm
Before Cataclysm (BC)
???? BC – Atreia is created by the god Aion, with every being on earth. Humans (Atreians and Danuar), a variety of sapien tribes and the Drakan were created. They mostly reside within the planet (with the exception of the Danuar who establish their empire on the outside of the planet – Balaurea. Drakan live all over the planet), where the Tower of Eternity – Aion’s dwelling – provided them with light and warmth.
1000 BC – Drakan ascend into Balaur and rebel against Aion. Twelve Empyrean Lords with Archdaeva to lead them are sent by Aion to protect the human race. Daevas begin to ascend. Aetheric Field rises to protect the Tower. Balaur establish their main bases in Balaurea.
The Millenium War begins.
9XX BC – Siel establishes Daevic temple to train Daevas. It grows to a city and becomes known as “Siela”, capital of the ancient Atreians.
200 BC – Balaur raise a sizeable army and attack Theobomos. This is a distraction for the Dragon Lords and their trusted legions to concentrate on attacking the Aetheric Field that borders Eltnen. They manage to rip it for a short time, and ascended Drakan Sataloca devastates the region. He is trapped, but never fully killed.
XX BC – Two Empyrean Lords break the taboo and conceive a child. The Eracus Temple was created as a playground for Kahrun while he grew up in hiding.
XX BC – Kahrun grows powerful and violent. He breaks out from his prison and goes missing.
XX BC – Siel’s Spear legion is sent to investigate the outer shells of Atreia.
Cataclysm
Israphel discovers a powerful artifact inside the Tower. He tricks both sides of the conflict to attend to a peace treaty. Archdaeva’s forces attack the Balaur. Fregion destroys the Tower. Siel and the Archdaeva sacrifice to save the planet from complete destruction. Archdaeva’s power is sealed away together with the remnants of the Tower. Kurngalfberg frozen by Ereshkigal. Israphel presumed dead. Planet is shattered in two: Elysea and Asmodae are created, with the Abyss between them.
